OpenBrew — a Pi Network ecosystem app

    Last updated: 2026-08-27

    Before you agree

    • OpenBrew runs only inside Pi Browser, the only way to sign in is your Pi account, and only Pi users who have completed Pi Network KYC can order, sell, or receive payments.
    • OpenBrew is an independent third-party app. Pi Core Team does not operate or endorse it, and Pi Network is not a party to any transaction between you and a coffee shop.
    • Pi payments settle on the Pi blockchain and are final. We cannot reverse a confirmed transaction.

    1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and OpenBrew. By signing in with your Pi account and using OpenBrew, you accept these Terms and the consent recorded in section 10. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

    2. Eligibility and conditions of access

    • Pi Browser only. OpenBrew is built to run inside Pi Browser. Pi authentication and Pi payments are unavailable outside it, and we do not support or warrant use of the service in any other browser.
    • Pi login only. Pi Network authentication is the only sign-in method. OpenBrew has no passwords, no email sign-up, and no social login.
    • KYC-verified users only. You must have completed Pi Network KYC to place an order, register a coffee shop, or receive payments. If your KYC status changes or cannot be verified, those functions stop being available to you.
    • Age. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and eligible to use Pi Network under Pi Network’s own terms.
    • One person, one account. Do not share, sell, rent, or transfer your account, and do not impersonate another Pi user.

We may verify your eligibility at any time, and we may suspend access if we cannot.

    3. Relationship with Pi Network

    • OpenBrew is an independent third-party application in the Pi ecosystem. It is not operated, sponsored, endorsed, certified, or reviewed by Pi Core Team or the Pi Community Company.
    • Pi Network is not a party to any transaction between you and a coffee shop and bears no responsibility for it.
    • Your use of Pi Browser, Pi Wallet, Pi authentication, and Pi payments is governed by Pi Network’s own terms, privacy policy, and platform policies. Where these Terms and Pi Network’s policies conflict as to the Pi platform, Pi Network’s policies control.
    • We make no representation or promise about the current or future value of Pi, in fiat currency or otherwise. Nothing in OpenBrew is investment advice, a price guarantee, a solicitation to invest, or an offer of securities. Prices displayed in Pi are set independently by each coffee shop.

    4. Payments

    • All payments run through the official Pi Platform Payments API: the payment is created in Pi Browser, approved by our server, and completed only after the transaction is verified on the Pi blockchain.
    • Paying or being paid outside the in-app Pi payment flow is prohibited. Do not solicit a direct wallet transfer, an off-platform payment method, or any arrangement designed to bypass the Pi Platform. Doing so is grounds for immediate removal from OpenBrew and may violate Pi Network’s policies.
    • You are responsible for any taxes, duties, or fees that apply to your purchases or sales.

Confirmed on-chain transactions are final and irreversible. OpenBrew cannot cancel, reverse, or refund a completed Pi payment. Any refund is arranged voluntarily between you and the coffee shop, outside the blockchain record.

Never share your Pi passphrase, private key, or recovery phrase with anyone. OpenBrew will never ask for them. Anyone who does — including someone claiming to be OpenBrew staff, a coffee shop, or Pi support — is attempting to steal from you.

    5. If you are a buyer

    • Check the items, quantity, and total in Pi before you approve a payment.
    • Collect your order from the coffee shop within its stated hours, and treat its staff decently.
    • Do not place orders you do not intend to collect, and do not use orders to generate artificial transaction volume.
    • Raise problems with the coffee shop first. It prepares the order; we do not.

    6. If you run a coffee shop

    • Register only a real business that you own or are authorised to represent, with accurate store name, address, contact details, and receiving wallet address.
    • Listings are reviewed before they appear. We may reject, suspend, or remove a listing, and we may ask for evidence that the business is real.
    • Prices must be genuine and consistently applied. Inflated or fabricated pricing, wash trading, self-dealing, orders placed to yourself, or any transaction created to inflate Pi transaction volume or to influence a Pi Network metric, reward, ranking, or ecosystem statistic is strictly prohibited and will result in permanent removal.
    • Fulfil orders you accept, promptly, at the price displayed at the time of the order.
    • Sell only what you may lawfully sell. Prohibited: alcohol, tobacco, or controlled substances where you are not licensed to sell them; weapons; counterfeit or stolen goods; financial instruments, securities, or tokens; gift cards and any Pi-to-fiat exchange service; adult content; and anything that violates Pi Network policy or the law where you operate.
    • Comply with the food safety, hygiene, licensing, consumer protection, and tax rules that apply to you.
    • Keep your receiving Pi wallet address current. Payments sent to an address you supplied incorrectly cannot be recovered, and that loss is yours.

    7. Content you upload

You keep ownership of the photos, menu text, and store information you upload. You grant OpenBrew a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, resize, and display that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload. We may remove content that infringes rights, breaks the law, or violates these Terms.

    8. Prohibited conduct

    • Accessing the service by automated means, scraping, or bulk-collecting data about users or shops.
    • Probing, disrupting, or circumventing security controls, rate limits, or the review process.
    • Impersonating another person, shop, OpenBrew, or Pi Network.
    • Uploading malware, spam, or misleading content.
    • Using OpenBrew to launder funds, to trade Pi for fiat, or for any purpose prohibited by Pi Network policy or applicable law.
    • Reverse engineering the service except where that right cannot be excluded by law.

    9. Accounts, suspension, and termination

You may stop using OpenBrew at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or terminate access — with notice where practical, and immediately where necessary — if you breach these Terms, if we suspect fraud or transaction manipulation, if your KYC eligibility lapses, or if the law requires it. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (payments already made, content licences for content still displayed, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law) do survive it.

    10. Consent to the collection and use of personal information

By signing in with Pi, you consent to OpenBrew collecting and using the following personal information. Full detail — including sharing, international transfer, and your rights — is in our Privacy Policy.

    Items collectedPurposeRetention
Pi account information: Pi user ID, username, wallet address, access tokenSign-in, session security, payment routing, order attributionUntil account closure

You may refuse this consent. These items are the minimum required to operate the service, so refusing means sign-in, ordering, and selling are not possible. We do not collect your Pi passphrase, private key, recovery phrase, or KYC documents, and consent to them is never requested.

You may withdraw consent at any time by closing your account. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out, records we must retain by law, or transactions already recorded on the Pi blockchain.

    11. Disclaimers

OpenBrew is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not own, operate, staff, or inspect the coffee shops listed. We do not guarantee that a shop is open, that an order will be fulfilled, that food or drink meets your expectations, or that any listing is accurate. We are not a payment institution, an escrow agent, or a party to your transaction. We do not guarantee that Pi Browser, Pi authentication, the Pi Platform API, or the Pi blockchain will be available or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.

    12. Disputes between buyers and coffee shops

A dispute about an order — quality, availability, collection, or a refund — is between you and the coffee shop. We may help by sharing order records with both sides, and we may remove a shop that repeatedly fails its buyers, but we do not adjudicate disputes, hold funds, or guarantee any outcome.

    13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OpenBrew is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, for lost profits, or for any loss of Pi arising from a transaction you authorised, a wallet address supplied incorrectly, a compromised passphrase, or the conduct of a coffee shop or another user. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid OpenBrew in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for fraud, and nothing limits mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.

    14. Indemnity

If you list a coffee shop, you will indemnify OpenBrew against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your listings, your goods, your fulfilment of orders, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.

    15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes are announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use OpenBrew after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, close your account.

    16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and the Seoul Central District Court is the court of first instance for disputes. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, or of the right to bring proceedings there where that law allows.
